Best tooth whitening toothpaste

The majority of toothpaste manufacturer’s claim that their toothpaste is best when it comes to whitening your smile but this is by and large a false claim. Toothpaste cleans your teeth and is in contact with them for no more than a minute and a half. As a result they are cleaner and possibly a fraction whiter but cannot compare to the bleaching effect that hydrogen peroxide has when left on your teeth for half an hour or more.

Colgate has one of the best reputations and is FDA approved. Two of the best products they sell are Colgate Max Fresh and Colgate Luminous and they come in a variety of flavours.

Sensodyne toothpaste is recommended by many dentists because it reduces the sensitivity of teeth and gums and also has a small whitening effect.

The best results to be had from toothpaste is not in which one you use but how you actually clean your teeth, for how long and how often. Some toothpastes claim to whiten the teeth and some are for fresher breath and some for cleaning stains and then again some are to help your gums. Personal preference is the keyword here and quite often the flavor of the toothpaste seems to be the most important factor in which toothpaste people buy.

Rembrandt teeth whitening

By , September 29, 2009 4:00 pm

Rembrandt teeth whitening

The Rembrandt teeth whitening system comes in two parts, which can be used separately or in conjunction with each other. The first requires a visit to your dentist where a ninety minute session gives you a much brighter smile. This comes at a cost and is very expensive. You would have to get a quote because prices vary so much.

The second part of the treatment is either an ongoing process at home to continue the dentist’s work or miss out the dentist,s appointment completely and go straight to the home solution. Many supermarkets and shopping malls sell these kits but the best place to find them at a good price is on-line via the Internet.

The Rembrandt Teeth Whitening system is manufactured by Johnson and Johnson. They have a long history in manufacturing and developing teeth whitening products over the years.

Reviews of this product are generally positive with the vast majority of users claiming good success rates and only the minimal of discomfort. In most cases no discomfort was reported. It easy to use but can be a bit messy and takes about two hours. This is not considered too long if you get the results you require.

Tooth whitening review

Tooth whitening review

The vast array of products on the internet and in shopping malls and dentist’s surgeries world wide make a comprehensive review of tooth whitening almost impossible. It depends largely on your budget. If you have a huge bank account you can afford porcelain veneers. If you are on a limited budget some toothpastes offer a good whitening effect over a period of time.

However the majority of toothpastes can remove stains but not brighten your smile. One of the best is Ultra Brite Advanced Whitening and two others are both Colgate products – Max Fresh and Luminous.

Hydrogen peroxide is the way to go when trying to brighten your smile and there are many products available, all with mixed reviews. Rembrandt and Opalescence are two brands that seem to have a good reputation along with Custom Bright and Ultra White.

It should not be forgotten that toothpastes can generally lighten your teeth by one shade and dentists can generally whiten them by eight shades. Home whitening kits fall somewhere between these two. So it is all down to affordability. Home whitening kits are the best value for money and will probably give the most satisfaction over a period of time.

Best tooth whitening product

By , September 29, 2009 3:45 pm

Best tooth whitening product

It is very difficult to define what is the best tooth whitening product on the market. All of the manufacturers claim that their product is the best and only option when it comes to having shiny white teeth.

The problems that people can have with the various staining, marking and general deterioration of the teeth can mean that it would be very difficult to find one product that will cure all problems.

Without a doubt, going to a dentist and having your teeth professionally whitened will get the best results but this comes at a price that is out of range for most people. Porcelain veneers is another way of having the ultra bright Hollywood smile but again these are so expensive so as not to affordable for most of us.

This then leaves us with home tooth whitening, which has become more affordable recently with far better results and not so much discomfort when using the products. It is wise to read the manufacturer’s instructions and follow them to the letter because the vast majority of home tooth whitening products contain hydrogen peroxide, which can cause discomfort and burning to the gums, if not used properly.
